Legislature, the Executive and various state agencies. As an advocated for
the passage, or defeat, of hundreds of proposals, Mr. Kriss has played a
significant role in passage of dozens of New York State laws and
regulations.
Mr. Kriss co-authored legislation repealing Dole v. Dow, a 1972 Court of
Appeals decision violative of the Workers’ Compensation exclusive remedy
rule respecting work-related injuries. In 1996 he helped fashion the
partial repeal of Dole and other Workers’ Compensation reforms beneficial to
the business community. Mr. Kriss is most grateful for having been afforded
the opportunity to help shape public policy in New York.
